- Exercising often – How often do you exercise? Yeah, you might say that you have no energy to because you are depressed. Which came first the lack of exercise or depression (e.g. the chicken or the egg)? It doesn’t really matter because once you push yourself to exercise every day, you will start feeling improvement.
- Positive social support – If you want to learn how to overcome severe depression, you are going to need to spend time with positive people. These people let nothing bring them down and will help you take the focus off of being depressed. It will be tough for you initially to adapt their perspective, but eventually you will get the hang of it and make progress. The more time you spend with positive people, the easier it will be to get out of a depressed state.
- Believe in yourself – If you don’t believe that you can overcome depression, you are right. If you believe that you can overcome depression, you are right. It all comes down to having the right set of beliefs. If you empower yourself with the belief that you can overcome, then you definitely will be able to.
